Lions Den Home Furnishings Logo Design
Creating a logo for a new small business start-up to represent their work in the world
When Ivan Fisher came to me inquiring about logo design, he had a dream for a business not yet built. We met to discuss his initial business and with the very visual name “Lions Den Home Furnushings” I had what I needed to draft initial logo designs for him to review.
The Logo Design Process
The first round of logo designs included many variations of a lion and the text of his business name. It’s helpful to provide several different design options so each client can direct what feels authentic to their brand – whether a new business or for a brand redesign.
Ivan was instantly drawn to the version that looked like a shield. This hand-drawn lion and strong branded text didn’t take more than a few revisions of slightly alternative options (colors, stroke weights, etc). Before landing on the final.
Brand Assets and Marketing Copy
Throughout the launch of his business, conversations continued and I realized he had a much bigger mission than just selling furniture. Through several discussions, I had the privilege of helping him flesh out his marketing copy and the brand story he was about to tell. This work is vital to creating a brand idea for your followers to understand what your business is about and how their partnership with it is impacting the world. A brand & marketing copy support like I provided for Lion’s Den Home Furnishings is something a new business can use over and over to guide how they pitch their media – whether it be social, in-store, online, etc. It’s a huge asset!
The Final Logo
The Lion Den Home Furnishings logo gives the brand a strong visual representation of what you’ll find inside of their stores: rustic home decor and rich wood pieces and textures. The deep gold and the black along with the strong serif and sans serif, give this new brand a rustic & varied feel – something that will support Ivan’s work of selling very visual pieces.
As with every logo design, I provided several logo variations for in-use. They include the full logo in vector PDF for endlessly scalable needs, JPG & PNG variations for opaque and clear backgrounds and various uses online, a black and white version, one color & two color logos, logos for use on dark backgrounds, and a simplified logo specifically used for small spaces like an Instagram profile picture, etc.
Social Media Brand Launch Support
I also helped launch social media platforms – setting up, user implementation, creating branding cover and profile images, and creating several initial posts to pave a path for what posting can look like and how it can support the overall brand through visuals and copy. This helped provide a platform to launch from and a clear guide of what a feed and content grid could look like to strengthen and support the brand over time.
I also helped create business cards for inside each Lions Den Home Furnishings stores, helped set up Google My Business Pages so stores could be found through search & a few other elements that supported his connection of social media and instore branding.
Lions Den Home Furnishings has big dreams for the future and I am grateful I was able to be a piece in the puzzle to help those dreams launch into the world. Here’s to Lions Den Home Furnishings unfolding future!
What Clients are Saying
Don’t take it from me.
Allow Ivan, owner and creator of Lions Den Home Furnishings to speak about his experience of creating a logo and brand with me.
The biggest challenge prior to finding Rachel on Google was just feeling overwhelmed in finding the right person to develop a logo, and eventually website, and SEO. It felt a little overwhelming in finding the right person to work with.
Working with Rachel completely put my mind at ease, not only for her eye for detail, but also the passion she has for what she does.
Rachel designed an awesome Logo, and throughout the process she was patient and she wanted it to be me. She gave input but wanted it to be myself. Then she helped so much in social media posting.
If you are on the fence of working with Rachel, just take the leap! You will not regret working with her! She is patient, detailed, understanding and very talented. Highly recommend!– Ivan Fisher, Owner and Creator of Lions Den Home Furnishings
Thank you Ivan!
