My life has been a whirlwind lately. This post isn’t about that, however.
This post is about needing to know who you really are, all labels (student status, job-title, activities you’re know for doing…) aside.
It’s because I have become increasingly aware of the fact that the world so quickly can make you forget how wonderful you are.
Wait, if you thought “No not me. Rachel you don’t know me.” dismissing the statement that you’re wonderful – hold those thoughts aside for a moment, this is for you.
On the news there is bullying, celebrities are physically changing their bodies with plastic, and kids are hurting deeply in ways that make them contemplate awful decisions to end the pain.
So please, with me vow to have a creed. You can take this one I’ll write or make your own. But in times when life is busy, or tries to tell you lies about who you are, you will need a creed to remember. Te remember your worth, your inherent beauty, and your value.
My Creed
I am loved. By the God who created the universe, I am loved.
God, you are watching me always, even now, even while I sleep. You know what I’ve done, will do and am doing, and you love me none the less.
I was knitted with in tention by you, God. Even in the womb, you knew me and formed me just as I am. Not a cell of my body is created wrong.
You think of me more than there are grains of sand!
Each day of my life has been claimed by you – God of Love.
I am lovable. I am full of forth. I am valuable – even when no person acknowledges it.
I am never alone nor will I ever be.
I am loved.
So may you today reclaim your worth, your value, and your beauty. Take this creed, or create your own, and have it with you as a reminder that you are precious and your life has infinite value.
