Dermatology Associates of Lancaster Logo Redesign
Logo and brand redesign to elevate the face of the organization to match their expertise and cutting edge care
When the Dermatologist Associates of Lancaster came to me, they were looking for logo and brand redesign. Their brand colors and the logo imagery felt dated to their providers and no longer matched their exceptional and current dermotological care they provide to Lancaster. In our initial call, I picked up on the subtle and frequent use of “DAL” when referring to their organization. With those insights and a few more, I worked up initial designs for them to review.
Their first round of logo designs included many options for imagery ( plants, hands, finger prints and even a play off of their initial logo of with a profile face). Providing several designs gave them plenty provide feedback on and lead the direction of where the logo would ultimately go. This is often helpful to a client who may not have a vision for their end logo, but can clearly respond with what they like and dislike since they know their organization’s personality so well. Along with all of those drafts, I included a few text only DAL logos just to see what would land with them.
The DAL Logo Design Process
Their initial response was clear and guided. They loved the DAL, letter-only logo designs to take them into their new season as they worked toward an elevated brand to represent them today. Dropping the profiled faces from their previous logo, updating their colors to fresh current blues, and strengthening the visual use of their initials to broaden the use of their nickname all came together to create a logo that will modernize their look to match their practice expertise today as well as carry them into their tomorrow.
After a few brief rounds of color edits and some brief changes, their logo was finalized and they were excited to use it!
DAL Brand Assets
In order to implement their brand right away, they requested letterhead designs and a full brand style guide. When an organization has multiple people and printers who may work with their logo or brand – a full guide gives clarity to all users so they can rest assured their logo will be used properly. With the DAL’s level of expertise, their new brand assets will help match the professionalism they provide to all of their clients.
